Who do you say Jesus is?

There are many kind of claims about Jesus Christ. Some say he never existed, some say he was a great teacher or some kind of prophet. C.S.Lewis, former atheist, pointed out that not any kind of wise teacher or prophet would say such things about oneself as Jesus did. That's why the options we really have are the following: he must have been a lunatic or a devil from Hell... or then... well yeah, the third option is that he was and is exactly what he claimed to be.

So then, what is that he said about himself? Among other thing the following:

• "I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but through me" John.14:6
• "I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life." John.8:12
• "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." John.10:11

Indeed. He's the guy you want to know. The Good News is that he wants to know you too! He showed that by laying down his life for you, so that you could have all your sins forgiven and live in Heaven forever.

The One True God, the Creator of this world - and your very self as well - has already made the initiative. He sent you a text message and stepped down to fulfill and confirm it. The Word of God walked among us. Because of our sin we are reluctant to see this, but the people who spend time with him can come to but one conclusion; we come to confess like the famous skeptic Thomas: "My Lord and my God" John 20:28
